Although Newsome has the better overall record, Armwood has defeated the Wolves in their previous two meetings, winning 54-34 on November 29 in a game that saw Newsome shoot a season low 28% from the field. Armwood also came away victorious in a 72-64 decision in the Wolves Den in which Rashad Davis had a career day with 5 three pointers in the second half for the Hawks. In that outing, Junior Joe Raga had a big day offensively for the Wolves with 25 while Senior Dylan Fugate had 15 and Sophomore Samal Shepherd chipped in 12 . Armwood is led by senior Adam Sollazzo with a 22 ppg average and senior Jared Paul with 14. Senior Cornelius Fowler adds 8 rebounds per game. Outback Steakhouse has been a great supporter of Newsome High School Athletics. Their generosity has been overwhelming, and now they are once again helping the basketball team with a generous gift.
