The Wolves had probably one of the most exciting games in Newsome High School Basketball history Friday night with the overtime thriller over Plant City. Well to no suprise that momentum carried over to Monday night when the Freedom Patriots came to the Wolves Den. The boys picked up right where they left off by taking control of the game early. By halftime the game was well in hand, the wolves went into the half up 44-22 and not much changed in the second half as the team cruised to a 78-59 victory. Dylan Fugate (#23) led all scorers with 19 and Joe Raga (#33) and Jarid Hulse (#2) both contributed 12 pts as The Newsome Wolves steamrolled the Freedom Patriots.
Now I hope the Newsome fans will be in full force Thursday night as the boys travel to Bloomingdale to take on Callum Townsend and the arch rival Bulls. There will be a large and boisterous crowd of Red Bulls, and they will not be happy when the Wolves infiltrate their corral. This will be one of the loudest and most exciting games of the season, so I suggest that you get there early to get a good seat!
ed. note. Freedom's leading scorer, Brandon Bertorello was held to 3 points on the night.Last changed: Dec 13 2007 at 7:03 AM
