Shepherd Named National Division MVP

Newsome junior Samal Shepherd was named the MVP for the National Division, which consists of Newsome, Bloomingdale, Durant, Spoto, East Bay and Lennard.  Senior Charles Murphy was named to the second team.  Other district 5A-8 players who were named first team all-stars in their conference include senior Toarlyn Fitzpatrick of King, senior Fredrick Drayton of Tampa Bay Tech, Joe Raga of Bloomingdale and senior Rashad Davis of Armwood. Second team selections include Rethell Oliver of King, LaCarlton Nelson of TBT, Brandon Bertorello of Freedom, and Sean Hayes of Bloomingdale. The complete list can be found in the Tribune.
