This week, the Wolves host three district opponents to finish up a grueling 8 games in 16 days, all district contests. To open up the week, the Armwood Hawks visit on Tuesday, followed by the Tampa Bay Tech Titans on Wednesday. On Friday, the Plant City Raiders will enter the Wolves Den looking for revenge as the second half of district play begins. In the season thus far, the Wolves own victories over district opponents Plant City, Brandon, Riverview and East Bay. Their lone loss came against the Durant Cougars, who came into the Wolves Den on December 4th and came away with a resounding 62-47 victory over the Wolves. The first team up, Armwood is a team struggling to find its rhythm after losing a key player, Demetrius Jackson in a preseason game. Jackson was the leading shot blocker in the area last year and was expected to contribute heavily in the scoring and rebounding departments as well. Senior forward Isaac Dix and junior guard Willie Alexander have stepped into leadership roles for the Hawks. Back Archived 2007-2008 Basketball page |
