Newsome Players Excel at Disney AAU Easter Classic

The Disney Easter classic is always one of the best AAU events in Florida, and this year (at least) four Newsome players participated.  Junior Samal Shepherd's Florida Elite team enjoyed great success, winning the 17's division, while sophomore Trent MacKey's Florida Elite team also earned a champions trophy in the 16's.  Jake Hodges' Brandon Bolts team made the final four of the 17s.  Jake had a sensational offensive weekend including a 42 point performance against the Georgia Ballers.  Freshman Dylan Bridges' SEBA Select 15 team won their pool before bowing out in bracket play.  With performances like these in travel ball, NHS looks forward to next year's high school season with great anticipation!
