The winningest Wolves basketball team ever (17-7) wraps up it's regular season Friday with a visit to the East Bay Indians. Although the Indians have improved greatly through the course of the season under first year head coach Stan Conley, it hasn't shown up much in the win column. The team continues to get better under his tutelage, and should be much improved next year as their starting lineup has featured as many as three Freshmen including Jhyree Harris (9 ppg), Mitch Harley, and Brian Phillips. Riverview sports one of the biggest men in the area, 6'8", 312 pound Senior Center David Wynn, who could prove a difficult matchup for the Wolve's much smaller "big" men. The Indians are led in scoring by Jaquan Holliday with a 9 ppg average.
The district tournament will commence next week at Tampa Bay Tech, where the Wolves will face the Armwood Hawks in the first round of play.Last changed: Jan 31 2008 at 7:58 AM
