Girls Soccer Regional at Jenkins Postponed

Friday's game at Lakeland Jenkins was postponed due to bad weather. The game is rescheduled for tonight February 6 at 5:00. 

For the past two seasons, Newsome and Jenkins have met in the region final, and both times Jenkins has ended the Wolves' season. The last meeting, at Newsome, ended in overtime. Our last win against Jenkins came Jan. 30, 2007. Senior defender Hannah Rainey is the only player left from that team. "Even though they lost a lot of good seniors from last year," Rainey said. "We know they are a good team. But we are going to focus on what we do best." Coach Townsend said that although this is a very young team (half the starters are underclassmen), they are well prepared to make it to the final four.Back
