The Wolves are looking forward to the rematch with Armwood, against whom the Wolves suffered a humiliating 54-34 loss on November 29. Armwood is led by one of the areas top players, Adam Sollazzo, who sports a 23.4 scoring average along with 6.4 assists per game. In the first game, despite holding Sollazzo to only 13 points, the Wolves were unable to make shots, and only some hot 3 point shooting by Samal Shepherd prevented the bleeding from being even worse. Look for the Wolves to remember that disappointment and take remedial action Tuesday night. Back-to-back games are always tough, and even though the Wolves were able to cruise to a relatively easy 78-59 victory against Freedom at home on December 3, Freedom has improved greatly this season and will expecgt to make a strong defense of their own turf. In the previous meeting, Dylan Fugate had a fabulous night, recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Jarid Hulse, Trent Mackey, and Joe Raga also scored in double figures in that game After a single night off, the Wolves will return home Friday to face their neighborhood rival Bloomingdale Bulls. The Bulls are led by the areas leading scorer, Junior Callum Townsend, with a 26 point/8 rebound average. In the previous meeting on December 6, for the first time, Townsend was able to approach his scoring average against Newsome, with 21 points. The rest of the Bulls, however, were not able to carry their end of the load as the Wolves walked out of the gym victorious with a 66-54 win. In that game, the Wolves were paced by Dylan Fugate with 19 points, Joe Raga with 16 and Samal Shphered with 15. Last changed: Jan 14 2008 at 6:33 AM Back |
