Now in it’s 6th year, the annual Newsome Boys Basketball Golf Tournament has earned a reputation for one of the best tournaments around with loads of freebies and food! Proceeds from this event provide the basketball program with equipment, team camp entries and awards banquet. The tournament will be held September 12 at the newly renovated Bloomingdale Golfer's club. Festivities and registration begin with a hamburger/hotdog buffet lunch at 11:30, followed by a 12:45 call to carts and a shotgun start at 1:00. Upon the completion of the four-man best ball scramble, all will return to the clubhouse for a delicious hot meal and the distribution of the fabulous prizes that always accompany this event. In addition this year's silent auction will feature some hot memorabilia, including a baseball signed by Mariano Rivera. Be sure and sign up before August 1 to enjoy the huge early bird discount!
